Life as a mom

Being a mom is seriously the greatest! I love being a mom to the worldest two cutest and best kids! Being a mom is messy though...

Todd threw up all over me and the couch  it was epic!

But I wouldn't change these long nights, messy diapers, or being thrown up on for anything! Because at times being a mom can be a little crazy but the rewards of being mom are far greater and so sweet! Love my little squirts so much and am grateful for them in my life!!!

Temple

I got the opportunity to go to the temple today! I was so excited to finally go! The Kansas City temple is a lot smaller than the Rexburg temple. It is always a spiritual experience and I all learn new stuff! Love going to the temple and it was fun to go with just a few of the other wives that work here! (Cegan, Marissa, and Rachel) 

Christmas in June!

So I decided that I wanted to try and do Christmas in June... I just wanted to mainly just focus on the Christmas spirit and what Christmas was all about more than just once a year! So of course I got the boys both something small :) We read a few Christmas stories which Jace loved!

Jace got a few new shirts that have dogs on them which he loved! Isn't he so cute!!

Love this!

Todd got two new thin blankets so we both die when I nurse him in the summer! Isn't he so adorable!

My Little Monkeys

The boys at Bentlees birthday party! It was monkey theme so everyone got monkey tails and ears!! I think they looked really cute!

Date Night

We were shopping at the Salvation Army store and I found Battle of the Sexes for $2 I couldn't pass up a game for that cheap so I bought it for Nate and I's date! It was such a fun game and I realized that Nate knows nothing about girl stuff ha he was losing so bad that i let him start answering guy questions ha. It was fun to have both of the boys asleep earlier so we could do our date and to be able to spend time with my wonderful husband!

Todd 6 month

I can't believe this kid is already 6 months old! He has been such a joy in our family! I love him to pieces! He truly is the best baby! This kid is always happy and loves to babble! I'm so glad to have this kid in my life he is so precious! Having him reminded me how much I love babies and how perfect they are! Todd is what helps keep me sane when everything else is going crazy! I love my chub!! 

Popcorn

I LOVE LOVE LOVE popcorn!! It's my absolute favorite food ever! So I saw a recipe on how to make homemade microwave popcorn so of course we had to try it! All you need is a brown paper bag, popcorn, salt, and a little bit of oil! 

So we made a bag of regular popcorn then a bag of kettle corn and it was delicious!! Jace loved it too!!

Bed time

So I have a hard time putting the boys to sleep simetimes because let's be honest I love playing around with these kids!

Jace thought the flash from my phone was the funniest thing ever! He was laughing so hard! Todd wasn't too impressed.

Todd

Todd has been doing so good with sitting up! He started sitting up around the 28, of April 2013

His first time sleeping in the pack-n-play was April 30, 2013

You started being able to stand up against the couch with anyone holding you up on May 19, 2013

He also started rolling over consistently Around May 26, 2013

No more leaving him on the bed or couch 

He loves to play with his feet! Found your feet around May 23, 2013

Loves to be involved with what we are doing! So if I'm not holding him we just sit him in the bumbo so he can watch me cook, do dishes, or whatever we are doing!

Also loves playing with his toys he little rattle toys his crinkle square stuffed animals and his little rattle crinkly cube 

Todd sat in a high chair for the first time and he loved! June 2, 2013

Todd also loves to eat food! Ate rice cereal for the first time on April 23, 2013. He ate vegetable for the first time May 21, 2013. He ate fruit for the first time June 18, 2013

Father's Day

So thankful for my dad and all he has done for me and my family! I'm so glad that I can talk to my dad about anything and he always makes me feel like I'm loved! He gives me and Nate good advise on our marriage and raising kids! He is such a great grandpa I love seeing him with my kids and him playing with Jace! He is really good about letting Jace help him fix cars at the shop!

I'm so thankful for Nate he is truly amazing!! He is such a great husband and dad! He is a very hard worker! And I'm so excited that we get to spend the rest of our lives together! I'm so thankful that he is able to give our family blessings when we need them!

To start off Father's Day we went on a date to watch After Earth with will smith and his son on Saturday. We took Todd along and he was a champ didn't complain and just sat on our laps. The movie theater was pretty sweet it had recliner chairs so you could literally lay back and enjoy the show! Then on Sunday I let Nate sleep in and then made him breakfast! We gave him gifts throughout the day! He got the movie Get Smart, basketball shorts, a candy bar and soda from church, a "Nate's mancave fund" jar, and a plague that says "I'm as lucky as can be.. The worlds best daddy belongs to me. And had the boys hand prints on it! And to end the night we went to a BBQ that one of the other guys Nate works with invited to and it was yummy!!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

We had the opportunity to go to a Kansas City Royals game!! It was so much fun! A totally different experience than going to a Chuckers game! Everything was so expensive as we were walking in a guy was selling 16oz water bottles for $9.50 ridiculous!! Jace loved the game and would get so so excited when everyone started clapping and cheering! Every time people would clap and cheer he would smile really big and clap as fast he could! It was the cutest thing ever!!

Breakfast in bed

Nate is so dang amazing he has let me sleep in for the past few days and has made me breakfast in bed two days in a row and he did the dishes all before me and Todd got up! We are very lucky to have him in our lives! He is a great dad and husband!

I'm one lucky mom to have two of the worlds cutest boys!!
